David Messineo has worked in various shops over the years, fabricating furniture, sculpture for artist, light boxes, cabinetry and custom bicycles. First apprenticing and then working full time, David started his fabrication career at Tract Design run by Gabriel Lucero. This is where he learned most of his technical skills. Tract Design did both wood and metal work, and as a result David became well versed at working with both materials. The company shifted from simple cabinetry and well designed furniture to working with galleries, building artist's sculpture and custom steel lugged bicycles. This has helped David problem solve with an open and creative mind whilestill understanding the abilities of specific tools and methods of execution. After three years at Tract Design, David shifted to building bicycles full time with Joe Avedisian, owner and founder of Brooklyn Machine works. There, David refined his welding skills, and learned shop management. Now, working with Kai Williams at Three Phase Studio, David is culminating all his skills with Kai's design sense and technical capabilities, to create a creative and vibrant fabrication and design shop that employs high tech processes.
